Universal Logistics Holdings appointed Tim Phillips CEO, president, and member of the board, effective Jan. 10.

Universal Logistics Holdings has appointed Tim Phillips as the fleet’s new CEO, president, and member of the board.

Universal Logistics Holdings named Tim Phillips CEO, president, and member of the board, effective Jan. 10, 2020.
Phillips began his career with Universal in 1989. He has over 30 years of experience in numerous leadership positions, most recently serving as the company’s executive vice president of transportation. Phillips also has been president of Universal’s intermodal division since 2009.
Phillips succeeds Jeff Rogers, who separated from service with the company as CEO, president and a director effective Jan. 10
“I would like to express my gratitude to Jeff for his leadership and the contributions he has made to Universal’s success,” said Matthew Moroun, chairman of the board. “Tim is a highly skilled veteran of the transportation industry. He possesses a keen attention to detail, and he has a proven record of growth and profit. The entire board of directors would like to congratulate Tim, and we look forward to his leadership.”
