NationaLease Names Top Tech Competition Winner

Rick Davis, lead technician with Hogan Truck Leasing, was named the Top Tech at NationaLease’s 8th Annual NationaLease Tech Challenge.

Davis competed in a field of 225 technicians, representing NationaLease’s full service truck leasing companies form the U.S. and Canada. Out of the participants, nine qualifying technicians made it to the final competition after finishing first in their region on a written knowledge exam.

The final event featured hands-on stations to test their knowledge of starting and charging, electrical, brakes, suspensions, wheels ends, drivetrains, DEF, tires, and engine diagnostics.

Joining Davis on the winning team were First Runner-up Bob Mrzyglod from Aim NationaLease, and Second Runner-up, John Norwood, also from Aim NationaLease. These three techs will represent NationaLease at the TMC Annual SuperTech Competition to be held later this year.

“We congratulate all of our Tech Challenge participants and winners. We will be in the front row cheering on our team at the TMC SuperTech Competition this fall,” said Joe Puff, vice president of truck technology and maintenance for NationaLease.
