NAFA Fleet Management Association will offer a webinar, Getting Control of Fuel Costs, Wednesday, May 30, from 1-2 p.m. Eastern.
The webinar features Jeffrey A. Miller, PhD., CEO of Gas-Lock Advisors LLC, in an hour-long discussion providing background on energy price trends and their underlying causes.
As Miller will illustrate during the webinar, there is a difference between oil prices and refined products. Prices do not always vary in tandem, and there are important regional variations. Using a pragmatic, decision-oriented approach, while still providing value for those who just want background, the presentation will detail basic trends, identify additional risk factors that can influence the pricing of fuels both up and down and focus on aspects that may be missed or overlooked.
The session will then review a few popular solutions, including hedging and other fixed price alternatives. Using examples of past events and charts showing effects, Miller seeks to provide some criteria for determining how to decide whether to act as well as how to find an effective solution.
NAFA webinars are available for free for NAFA Members. Registration for non-members is $25.
Fleet professionals can register for the webinar online here until Tuesday, May 29.
