Oct. 21 – M.S. Carriers, Memphis, TN, plans to purchase certain operating assets of Interstate Trucking Corporation of America, a dry van truckload carrier based in Merrill, WI.
M.S. Carriers expects to hire 280 drivers, enter into short-term leases for ITC power units and buy 803 trailers from ITC. Upon completion of the transaction, the operations of ITC will be fully integrated into M.S. Carriers’ operations.
The company sees ITC’s primary lane from the upper Midwest to the East Coast as a perfect complement to M.S. Carriers’ existing network.
