This suite of web-based products helps service professionals estimate labor times, diagnose and repair all makes of Class 4-8 trucks, and the update to the software now allows outsourced maintenance personnel to pull VMRS codes for repairs.
Using the repair software, facilities can map labor jobs to VMRS codes, giving fleets a clear and consistent record of repairs and overall costs for each truck in operation, Mitchell 1 officials said in a press release.
VMRS codes display automatically, eliminating the complex process of manually looking up the appropriate VMRS code for work in progress. TruckSeries presents the appropriate VMRS standardized codes as the quote is generated. Any fleet or shop management system that is VMRS-compliant will recognize the work associated with the code and record the work accordingly.
With a detailed component repair history based on the VMRS coding system, fleets can better evaluate the lifecycle costs of their vehicles and can make decisions that ultimately will reduce overall costs and minimize vehicle downtime. Labor estimates generated by TruckSeries include VMRS codes for work performed, giving fleets the information they need to make important decisions about their vehicles, officials said
