The nighttime resurfacing of MD 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) north of I-695 and the Baltimore City line will continue through mid-June, causing some delays and lane closures, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration. MSHA says drivers should consider using I-95 US 1 or MD 2

as alternate routes for the next two weeks.

Paving on the southbound lanes began Sunday, June 3, and will take approximately one week to complete, weather permitting. MSHA expects all work to be complete by mid-June, weather permitting. Crews will work during nighttime hours only between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Multiple lane closures will not occur until 10 p.m.

The MD 295 resurfacing is part of a $5.8 million multi-project "areawide" resurfacing contract awarded to Gray & Sons of Timonium. Portions of I-70, I-83, I-95, I-195, I-695 and I-795 may also be resurfaced under this contract.
