A number of New York City area crossings are now open following the terrorist attack on the city's World Trade Center.
As of 2 p.m. EDT, the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Assn. reports the following highway information in the New York City area:
* Holland and Lincoln Tunnels remain closed in both directions (NJ/NY Bound).
* George Washington Bridge Upper Level is open both ways; Lower Level remains closed.
* Bayonne Bridge, Goethals Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing are open both ways.
* Brooklyn Battery remains closed in both directions.
* Queens Midtown Tunnel, Triboro Bridge, Henry Hudson Bridge, Bronx Whitestone, Throgs Neck, Cross Bay and Marine Parkway Bridges are all open in both directions.
* Verrazano Narrows Bridge: Westbound (Staten Island Bound) both levels open; eastbound (Brooklyn Bound) onlylower level open
* Brooklyn Bridge - remains closed both ways
* Manhattan Bridge - remains closed both ways
* Williamsburg Bridge - westbound (Manhattan-Bound) remains closed.
* Queensboro Bridge- westbound (Manhattan bound) reopened -- expect delays. Eastbound Lower level remains closed (upper level open).
* Third Avenue Bridge (Bronx to Manhattan) - Open Manhattan Bound
* Macombs Dam Bridge (155th Street Bridge) - Open both ways
* Madison Bridge (138th Street Bridge) - Open both ways
* 145th Street Bridge - Open both ways
* Washington Bridge (181st Street) - Open both ways
* Broadway Bridge (U.S. 9) - Open both ways
* Westside Highway & FDR are closed in both directions from 96th Street to Battery Park.
* In Manhattan, south of 14th Street to Battery Park, Hudson River to East River is closed.
On Long Island, Westbound Northern State and Southern State Parkways are reopened at Queens/Nassau Border and the Westbound Long Island Expressway is open at Queens/Nassau Border.
In New Jersey:
* Eastbound 4 OPEN approaching GW Bridge
* Eastbound 46 ONLY approaching GW Bridge
* Eastbound I-80 is reopened into northbound I-95
* Southbound 17 ramp to eastbound I-80 is open.
* Southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway is now open entire length.
* Eastbound Rt 3 ramp to Rt 495 (North Bergen ) closed.
* Eastbound Rt 495 closed from Rt 3 (North Bergen) to Lincoln Tunnel.
* Eastbound I-78 ramp to Newark Airport closed.
* Northbound 80/95 towards George Washington Bridge is now open
* Hudson Bay Extension (I-78) is now open Westbound; remains closed in eastbound direction
