Landstar System, Jacksonville, FL, has introduced a new e-mail service exclusively for its agents and independent contractors
Landstar System, Jacksonville, FL, has introduced a new e-mail service exclusively for its agents and independent contractors.
Landstarmail.com, launched through Landstar's wholly owned subsidiary Signature Technology Services, enables users to access a secure, privacy-protected mailbox system where they can send and receive e-mail, as well as Landstar settlement and debit card statements.
"Landstarmail.com provides a secure, convenient and effective means for our business partners to communicate," said STSI President Jim Martin. "The on-line service is a cost-effective opportunity for independent Landstar agents and BCOs (business capacity owners, Landstar's term for owner-operators) to expand accessibility and improve their business process."
All Landstar agents and BCOs are eligible to create their own password-protected account by signing up on the company's web site at www.landstar.com. Then the account can be accessed from anywhere in the world, at any time, by using an Internet browser to connect to landstarmail.com.
Subscribers can send and receive e-mail and attachments, spellcheck messages, automatically organize incoming mail and save contact information using an address book feature.
