For the first time since a June truck crash, Interstate 80 westbound in Morris County, N.J., has all four lanes open again.

On June 22, a fiery crash between three trucks, one of them a gasoline tanker, damaged the beams supporting the I-80 bridge over the Den Brook.
Traffic was hampered all summer by a two-lane temporary bridge. State Department of Transportation officials originally expected the bridge construction to take until October, but good weather and pouring the new bridge in one piece instead of two allowed the highway to be opened ahead of schedule.
New Jersey trucking officials warned truckers in July to avoid the highway during afternoon rush hour if at all possible.
