GE Capital Services, Stamford, CT, has consolidated TIP Intermodal Services and Genstar Container Corp.’s domestic container assets. The new group is called TIP Intermodal Services, headquartered in Devon, PA.
As a result of the strategic consolidation, more than 18,000 intermodal containers and 10,000 chassis from Genstar’s fleet will be added to TIP’s fleet of 6,000 intermodal trailers.
Barry DeSantis, most recently coo of TIP Europe, will serve as president of the new group.
