FTR has hired Don Ake as vice president of commercial vehicles. In his new role with the company, Ake is directing the enhancement of FTR’s Truck & Trailer Outlook product.
 
Ake has more than twenty years of experience in the transportation industry, including sixteen years with Hendrickson where he developed models, methods and processes to accurately forecast truck and trailer builds and product demand. He has taught economic courses at Wesleyan University, master’s level courses at both Indiana Wesleyan and Walsh University and been a guest lecturer at the University of Akron.  Ake has a B.S.B.A. and an M.B.A in Marketing from the University of Akron.
 
FTR’s new enhanced Truck & Trailer Outlook under Ake’s direction will provide subscribers added data, analysis and commentary to give them more tools in their own business planning and their understanding of the market variables.
