FMCSA Reinstates Revoked Device to Registered ELD List
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has reinstated an electronic logging device that it had removed from its list of registered ELDs.

Operating with an ELD on the revoked list can lead to an out-of-service violation.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has reinstated an electronic logging device that it had removed from its list of registered ELDs that meet the technical specifications in the ELD rule.
A week after it announced the revocation of 10 electronic logging devices from its list of registered ELDs, the FMCSA reinstated CI ELD LOGS.
Motor carriers and drivers may now use CI ELD LOGS to record and transfer hours of service data.
ELD Name: CI ELD LOGS
ELD Model number: CILGS
ELD Identifier: CRS270
ELD Provider: CV Options LLC
Unlike Canada's ELD rule, which requires third-party certification, in the U.S., suppliers are allowed to self-certify that they meet the technical requirements.
Nine ELDs Remain Off the List
The other nine devices FMCSA removed from the ELD list:
ELD 2 Go GoMax from ELD 2 Go
ELD4Trucking from ELD4Trucking LLC
ELog365 from EZ ELD Solutions Inc.
Golden ELD from Golden ELD
Powertrucks ELD from Miran Support LLC
Steer Right ELD from Steer Right LLC
TruckX-ELD from TruckX Inc.
TST 1 ELD from TST Group Inc.
World Trucking ELD from World Trucking LLC
Continuing to use these revoked ELDs listed on or after January 30 will constitute a “No record of duty status” out-of-service violation, the agency warned.

The Hidden Problem Behind FMCSA's ELD Revocations
NMFTA researchers say dozens of registered ELDs may be built on the same software platforms, allowing compliance and security concerns to persist even after individual devices are removed from the market.
