Carriers and drivers can now get a violation removed from their CSA scores if a court has dismissed it. Under a system that went live August 23, carriers and drivers can submit proof of dismissal or a not-guilty finding through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s DataQs portal.

Under a system that went live August 23, carriers and drivers can submit proof of dismissal or a not-guilty finding through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s DataQs portal.
DataQ’s is the system the agency uses to manage challenges to the information posted on the CSA Safety Measurement System. CSA, which stands for Compliance, Safety, Accountability, uses data from crashes and roadside inspections to flag carriers for enforcement action.
The agency is responding to industry complaints that citations dismissed in court have remained in the system. Now the violation will be removed or changed to match the court’s decision.
