Freight transportation provider Estes now offers three-day service to Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, from six terminals in Texas and Oklahoma.


To reduce service to these cities from five days to three, the company has accelerated freight processing, reduced freight handling and used direct lanes. The service is available from terminals in Houston, Temple, San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas; and Oklahoma City.

Estes has also consolidated freight at inland regional gateways to avoid congested border terminals and initiate document processing before a customer's shipment arrives at the border.

"Industries that ship significant freight in these lanes cannot afford delays waiting for parts and supplies," said Billy Hupp, Estes' executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Our reduced number of delivery days combined with our border expertise give customers peace of mind that deliveries will be there when they need them."
