Dupre Logistics LLC Energy Distribution Services will become the first PacLease customer to lease the Peterbilt Model 579. Dupre will take on 10 Model 579s from PacLease's company store in Fort Worth.
The Model 579 day-cabs feature 455-hp Paccar MX engines and 10-speed Eaton Fuller transmissions. Dupre says the truck's distinctive aerodynamics have helped to improve fuel economy by 3% after an initial break-in period.
"With PacLease, we get custom-spec'd trucks with the latest technology available without having to use the company's capital resources to acquire them," said Scott Allen, director of fleet assets and maintenance for Dupre.
