Diesel Prices Down Slightly as of November 24

The average retail price of a gallon of on-highway diesel fuel in the U.S. as of November 24 was down 3.7 cents from the previous week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported the average national diesel price was $3.83. That was down from $3.87 the previous week, which was the highest seen so far in 2025, but still the third-highest weekly price of the year.

Although it's seen ups and downs, the price of diesel shows an overall increase over the course of 2025.

As is typical, prices in the Gulf Coast region were cheapest, at $3.46 per gallon, and most expensive in California, at $4.98 per gallon.
The November 2024 average price is up 2.9 cents per gallon from year-ago levels. (Prices include taxes)
Diesel prices started the year at $3.56 per gallon and have shown an overall increase over the course of the year.
