The national price of diesel fuel dropped by $0.003 the week of January 22 compared to the previous week but has increased by $0.456 compared to one year ago, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
All U.S. regions are experiencing an increase in U.S. on-highway diesel fuel prices compared with a year ago, with prices in California up $0.72 compared with the same time last year.
Regions with the least expensive diesel fuel include the Lower Atlantic, Midwest, Gulf Coast, and Rocky Mountain regions, with all but the Lower Atlantic seeing a decrease in price over the past week.
