The Arkansas Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, presented Morgan Forrest, fleet manager at Maverick Transportation, with the Patriot Award.
Maverick and Forrest received this award in recognition of extraordinary support of the company's employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
"The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation's call to serve," explains Richard Green, ESGR Arkansas program Specialist. "Morgan Forrest was nominated for being highly supportive of the National Guard and Reserve Service by his Reserve Component employees. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation's National Guard and Reserve units."
"I feel very honored to have been nominated for this award on behalf of Maverick," said Forrest. "Through the years, we have had a large number of professional drivers who were in the National Guard and we have always been very supportive in their service to our country."
