DEF Prices Stable at Truckstops, Delivery Prices Increase in January

The new edition of DEF Tracker from the company Integer Research shows the average price for all diesel exhaust fluid bulk supply modes in the U.S. and Canada increased for all delivery modes compared with the previous month.

Tote refill deliveries are up 7 cents per gallon nationwide, with the highest prices recorded in Denver, Portland and Salt Lake City, while metropolitan areas in the east, such as Detroit and Atlanta continue to post the lowest average prices.

Multi-drop and full-truck load DEF prices increased significantly in the U.S. and to a lesser extent in Canada, where prices have been rising only marginally for the past two consecutive months.

Average DEF truck stop prices remained stable at $2.79 per gallon in the U.S., which has been the case since November 2012, while the Canadian national average has also remained unchanged at 80 cents per liter (Canadian) since October 2011.
