Freight matching service provider TransCore DAT has added 25% more equipment types available on its DAT 3sixty and TruckersEdge load board to help flatbed and other specialty load providers, such as freight brokers, 3PLs, and shippers, move freight requiring specialized equipment.

The 72 trailer types include specialty items such as over-dimension lowboy, over-dimension flatbed and step-deck Conestoga.

"Over the last 12-18 months we've seen an increase in spot market freight moves that serve diverse needs such as oil and gas exploration, windmill blades and other specialty cargo that is over-dimension or overweight", said David Schrader, senior vice president, operations.

"The addition of the new trailer types will speed up the process of finding exactly what load providers are searching for, and provides a better way for carriers with specialized equipment to broadcast their availability."
