Celadon Group, Indianapolis, will acquire assets from Foothill Corporation, a secured lender to Burlington Motor Carriers.
BMC is a truckload carrier based in Daleville, Ind., that has operated since July 2001 in a reorganization proceeding.
Assets to be acquired, pending bankruptcy court approval, include tractors and trailers, customer contracts and lists, office equipment and general intangibles. Celadon also would assist Foothill in collecting trade and other receivables. Celadon also plans to offer positions to certain administrative, maintenance and driving employees of BMC.
