Southeastern Freight Lines, a less-than-truckload provider in the Southeast, has selected Unicru Inc.'s hiring management solution as a key element in its corporate strategy to optimize workforce selection and performance.

Southeastern Freight Lines will rely on the Unicru solution to help it select and hire its associates in order to continually improve delivery service and customer satisfaction.
According to David Scoggins, vice president of quality and human relations at Southeastern Freight Lines, "We chose the Unicru hiring management solution as it will allow us to meaningfully and measurably advance our strategy through the attraction, hire and retention of world-class associates."
Committed to adding value through every transaction, Southeastern Freight Lines has a 52-year tradition of recognizing the key role its associates play in its business success, according to Scoggins.
The Unicru system lowers hiring and employment costs by screening out unqualified candidates and presenting for consideration only the most qualified candidates to hiring managers. Across the company's customer base, the Unicru system's impact on streamlining the personnel selection process and subsequent quality candidate employment has been demonstrated by a 42% increase in median job tenure, with a corresponding reduction in involuntary employee termination rates, according to Unicru.
Founded in 1950, Southeastern Freight Lines handled more than 450,000 shipments in 2001. The company transports and delivers freight throughout the Southeast including Puerto Rico, and through a partner network, operates throughout the U.S. and selected provinces of Canada. Employing about 5,500 associates in 58 service centers stretching from Virginia through Florida and into Texas, Southeastern Freight Lines has garnered more than 245 awards for quality performance,
Unicru Inc. is a leading provider of hiring management systems. Unicru has processed more than 10 million jobs.
On average, Unicru customers decrease employee turnover by 10 to 40% and reduce hiring time by more than half. For more information, visit the company's web site at www.unicru.com.
