Carriers were recognized for achieving a low preventable accident frequency per million miles of operation. The Fleet Safety Awards program recognizes fleets in similar operations (truckload and less than truckload) with awards based on their year-end preventable accident results. The carriers then received a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Participatory award.
