The American Transportation Research Institute is researching truck parking and truck parking reservation systems through a new survey of drivers. Drivers can take the survey through the end of April.

ATRI’s latest survey cross-references driver perceptions of truck parking availability with the viability of reservation systems to determine the amount of value truckers put on truck parking availability. The data collection was prompted by the selection of truck parking as one of the top priority research topics for 2015 by ATRI’s Research Advisory Committee.
Truck parking continues to rank high in ATRI’s annual Top Industry Issues Survey, ranking 6th overall in the 2014 survey. Among truck drivers, parking was even more important — ranking 2nd only to hours-of-service regulations.
Drivers who would like to participate in the survey can provide input through the end of April. The ATRI survey is available on the ATRI website.
