The Commercial Services Group of transportation technology provider TransCore has acquired Keypoint Software of Springfield, Mo. Keypoint provides operations and dispatch software for truckload carriers and brokers.
Dallas-based Transcore will integrate Keypoint's software products with the services provided by its Commercial Services Group of Portland, Ore., which includes DAT Services, Link Logistics and Transcore Exchange, a web-based transportation marketplace.
According to a Transcore announcement, Keypoint's operations and dispatch software, interfaced with TransCore Exchange, will create a single platform enabling carriers and intermediaries to negotiate with existing trading partners, optimize freight movement, and manage dispatch operations, accounting and settlements on a network of 20,000 customers.
Keypoint's 20 employees will remain at the company's headquarters in Springfield, Mo., to support the more than 300 Keypoint business installations nationwide.
