Schneider Logistics of Green Bay, Wis., announced it will provide global supply chain management for Thomson Multimedia of Boulogne-Cedex, France.
The companies reached a five-year agreement.
With revenues of $6.5 billion, Thomson is the world's fourth-largest maker of electronics, including televisions, digital decoders, VCRs, audio systems, DVD players and professional video equipment under the brand names of RCA, GE and Proscan.
Schneider Logistics is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schneider National, the largest truckload carrier in North America. Schneider National has expressed its intention to spin off Schneider Logistics late this year or early in 2001.
