Part of Peterbilt's new e-commerce initiative is eBilt, a new computerized truck configurator for Peterbilt sales representatives.

The Windows-based software will generate truck specs after customers answer a few application-oriented questions. The specs have been developed by Peterbilt engineers, based on proven componentry for a range of applications. Customers can then build on this "standard" application spec to further customize their truck.
The eBilt program includes photographs of some components and features, such as interiors and tire treads. The new program will appear in Peterbilt dealerships beginning later this year.
