The Prestolite Power Promise warranty includes a more robust offering of coverage concerns.

Prestolite Electric today announced a new warranty for its premium alternators – including IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme units – that will extend coverage to three- or four-year terms and unlimited mileage.

The Prestolite Power Promise warranty includes a more robust offering of coverage concerns. It covers manufacturing defects; premature component failure; worn/elongated mounting holes; damage from a loose pulley or nut shaft damage; damaged fan; failure due to excess corrosion, rust, oil, dirt/debris, water and heat; failure from loose terminal connections; solder re-flow; and many additional common warranty concerns.

The Prestolite Power Promise is available with the purchase of qualifying Leece-Neville IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme alternators.

“We’ve seen remarkable lengths of service life through our IdlePro and IdlePro Extreme units. It’s no secret that component failure equals downtime, reduced profits and increased expense,” said Jonathan Smith, assistant director of aftermarket sales and marketing, Prestolite. “Our latest warranty continues our legacy to provide best-in-class programs backed by best-in-class products. By extending our warranty coverage, it’s going to change the game in our industry and is truly indicative of our customer-first approach.”
