Transtar Insurance Brokers and the Arizona Trucking Association have partnered up to offer more-affordable insurance coverages designed for motor carriers to offer their owner-operators.
The coverages include: occupational accident insurance, non-trucking liability, physical damage, passenger accident insurance, deductible buyback, contingent liability, GAP insurance, and personal property insurance, as well as a mini-medical plan. Through ATA's endorsed Transtar program, owner-operators can reduce their costs through the bulk purchasing power of the program.
The goal of the ATA-Transtar program is to help owner-operators reduce insurance costs, ensure compliance with rules and regulations and offer safety incentives for superior performance. The program also will offer owner operators an opportunity to compete for a significant driver safety bonus after they have been in the program at least six months.
