The dealerships are located in Glad Spring, Va., and Fancy Gap, Va., and will now be renamed and operated as Fitzgerald Peterbilt. Tommy Fitzgerald Jr., the partner and head of marketing for Fitzgerald, will oversee the operations and growth of the dealerships.
"I'm truly honored to be accepted into the Peterbilt dealer community,” said Fitzgerald. “I couldn't begin to thank my father, Tommy Sr., and Peterbilt enough for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”
The popularity of glider kits face an uncertain future, thanks to more stringent emissions regulations expected to be made final soon by the federal government.
Performance Peterbilt of Bristol offers sales, parts, service and contract maintenance to the Tri-Cities region.
