The new facility is on Highway 22, 1 mile north of Killdeer and 35 miles north of Dickinson, N.D., and I-94. Open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, it provides parts and service for all makes of dry and liquid bulk tank trailers and truck-mounted tank bodies.
"We're excited to provide tank parts and service in the Bakken Shale district," said Mike Evans, president of Polar Service Centers. "Already, there's tremendous demand for aftermarket parts and experienced technicians who can work on any brand of tank."
Polar Service Center's Killdeer location has 4,800 square feet for service, parts, and office space. In May, it will double to 9,600 square feet with a total of five service bays. Initially, technicians from other Polar Service Center locations will staff the facility on a rotating basis and be housed onsite.
Other services at Killdeer include CHM-183 and DOT inspections as well as brake, suspension, and other preventive maintenance work.
