Meritor Wabco Vehicle Control Systems continues its series of ride-and-drive demonstrations across the country, with morning and afternoon demonstrations of its active Safety Systems technologies coming up this Friday, June 4
, in Fontana, Calif.

The sessions are open for managers and supervisors of fleets of all sizes, owner-operators, and truck and trailer dealers.

During the demonstration, attendees will see and feel Meritor's active-safety technology for commercial trucks, buses, and trailers, including SmartTrac stability control systems and the OnGuard collision safety system, a new technology designed to detect objects in the vehicle's path and insure the proper following distance between them. Both systems can automatically intervene to slow the vehicle to reduce the likelihood of a rear-end collision or loss of stability.

The company will also demonstrate its Roll Stability Support technology, which simultaneously monitors trailer wheel speed, lateral acceleration and suspension pressure, as well as its telematics system.
