On the heels of the extensive flooding damage in Nashville, Tenn., TMW Systems has moved its 2010 TransForum User Conference and Exhibition from the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville to the Gaylord Texan property in Grapevine, Texas
, near the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.

The event will run from Sunday, Sept. 19, through Wednesday, Sept. 22.

"The sheer amount of flooding and resulting water damage to the beautiful atrium, hotel and convention center spaces at the Gaylord Opryland made it unlikely that the site would re-open in time for our event," said Michael August, vice president and general manager, TMW Systems and co-chairman of the TransForum Planning team. "The Gaylord Opryland and Gaylord Texan organization worked tirelessly to help us make new arrangements at a sister property in record time, preventing any need to postpone or significantly alter our TransForum dates."

The conference, which averages over 1,200 attendees from North America each year, was held at the Gaylord Opryland last year.

"Our hearts go out to the thousands of Nashville residents affected by this catastrophe, and especially to the employees of the Gaylord Opryland, who helped to make our TransForum event in 2009 such a wonderful experience for all of our guests," August said. "We look forward to returning TransForum to the city of Nashville for another year sometime in the future."
