Truckstop.com Launches Heavy Haul Load Board for Oversize Freight
Truckstop.com’s new Heavy Haul Load Board Pro is designed to eliminate much of the guesswork of pricing heavy-haul loads by surfacing heavy haul–specific details directly in the load search results.

Pricing accuracy has become increasingly important as carriers navigate tighter margins, higher operating costs, and continued volatility in freight markets, according to Truckstop.com.

Truckstop.com is taking aim at one of the most complex corners of the freight market with the launch of Heavy Haul Load Board Pro. The new platform is designed specifically to help oversize and over-dimensional carriers price freight more accurately and protect margins.
Eliminating Pricing Risk
According to the company, the platform addresses a long-standing challenge for heavy haul operators: pricing risk.
Unlike standard truckload freight, heavy haul loads often require carriers to account for permits, escort vehicles, route restrictions, and equipment constraints—often using multiple disconnected tools and incomplete data, all under tight time pressure.
Truckstop.com says the new platform consolidates those critical inputs into a single workflow, allowing specialized carriers to evaluate loads more confidently before committing equipment.
“Carriers that specialize in oversize freight face more complexity and greater risk when evaluating and pricing loads,” said Scott Moscrip, CEO and founder of Truckstop.com. “When a single miscalculation can erase margin or create compliance issues, carriers need tools that reflect how they actually work.”
Built Specifically for Heavy Haul Operations
Historically, most heavy haul carriers have relied on general-purpose load boards. This means adapting tools built for standard freight and filling in the gaps with manual checks, spreadsheets, or third-party services. That process can slow down decision-making and increase the risk of underpricing a load once permit costs and routing constraints are factored in Truckstop.com said.
Heavy Haul Load Board Pro is designed to eliminate much of that guesswork by surfacing heavy haul–specific details directly in the load search results.
The platform allows carriers to filter loads by oversize, over-dimensional, and heavy haul equipment types within the Truckstop.com marketplace.
Key features include an expanded search radius of more than 1,000 miles, visibility into permit requirements and escort needs, and routing considerations displayed alongside each load.
By presenting those details upfront, Truckstop.com says carriers can generate faster, more accurate rate quotes and avoid surprises after a load is booked.
The new heavy haul product builds on Truckstop.com’s existing Load Board Pro platform. As such it gives users access to the same planning, visibility, and booking tools while adding specialized functionality for oversize freight.
Reducing Risk in a Margin-Sensitive Market
Pricing accuracy has become increasingly important as carriers navigate tighter margins, higher operating costs, and continued volatility in freight markets.
For heavy haul carriers, that means a single oversight -- such as an unexpected permit cost or escort requirement -- can quickly turn a profitable move into a loss.
By centralizing heavy haul–specific data, Truckstop.com aims to help carriers better understand the true cost of a trip before committing equipment and drivers.
Heavy Haul Load Board Pro is priced at $299 per month and includes 25 rate quotes and 25 permit quotes.
Truckstop.com says additional usage is billed with transparent overage pricing, allowing carriers to scale usage based on demand.
Heavy Haul Load Board Pro is available now to Truckstop.com customers.
