Carrier Transicold has introduced a new Maintenance dashboard for its Lynx Fleet telematics platform. The new dashboard allows users to create customized preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for their transport refrigeration units. These schedules are based on performance data collected and communicated in real time.
Two-Way Management and Control Capabilities
The new maintenance dashboard uses Lynx Fleet’s two-way management and control capabilities to transform how users manage the scheduled maintenance of their TRUs.
The new dashboard introduces the ability to set up distinct PM intervals based on calendar days or operating hours for up to three items on the truck or trailer. This includes total diesel engine hours, total switch-on hours, start cycles and high-speed engine hours.
The dashboard shows where each asset is in its PM cycle using precise numerical values and a simple color-coded indicator that flashes red, yellow and green.
“With the Maintenance dashboard, Lynx Fleet users can proactively schedule preventive maintenance based on what the equipment tells them instead of relying on calendar alerts and manual checks of TRU controllers,” said Scott Blair, senior digital program manager, Lynx Fleet Telematics.
The Maintenance dashboard has other features to enhance the operations of refrigerated fleets on the Lynx Fleet telematics network:
A tabular data presentation similar to the Lynx Fleet Asset View, a familiar interface that displays the latest data about all the user’s assets on the Lynx Fleet network in one place. Information can be filtered and sorted to prioritize the most essential information.
Streamlined communication with Carrier Transicold dealers. With some service arrangements, TRU performance can be monitored collaboratively with Carrier Transicold dealers for more seamless preventive maintenance scheduling.
Centralized access to the information Carrier dealers need when scheduling service. This includes the asset ID, TRU model type and model number, engine operating hours, and when preventive maintenance was last performed.
A Customizable System
The Maintenance dashboard is among the many benefits of Lynx Fleet’s Monitor & Enhanced Control data plan.
Users can monitor an asset’s performance and manage events remotely, including downloading diagnostic information recorded by TRU controllers.
Lynx Fleet hardware comes standard on Carrier’s most popular trailer refrigeration units. Peripheral components like fuel sensors, temperature probes, door switches and solar panels can be specified as needed.
Activation requires a data plan and commissioning by an authorized Carrier Transicold dealer.
The Maintenance dashboard is available now. For information about Carrier Transicold refrigeration solutions for commercial vehicles and the Lynx Fleet telematics platform, contact the experts in Carrier Transicold’s North America dealer network.
