Schneider National is continuing to grow its fuel-hauling capabilities, with a possible upcoming expansion into the Northeast.
Schneider Grows Fuel-Hauling Services
A new offering in 2008, Schneider's fuel-hauling services now reach areas throughout the Midwest, Southeast and the southern coast.

Schneider decided to add the service in 2008 after Growmark, a client in central Illinois, needed to add fuel-hauling capacity. "It does me no good to have a carrier that promises me capacity and leaves me high and dry," said Randy Rote, north fleet operation coordinator for Growmark. "Schneider worked with us every step of the way to customize a solution for our business. And those are the kind of long-term bulk carriers we like to grow with and they've come through for us every time."

The company has built a team of fuel professionals dedicated to safety and service to fuel customers, said George Grossardt, vice president and general manager of Schneider National Bulk. "Schneider National drivers are screened and specially selected to become fuel haulers," Grossardt said. "We align their training with specific fuel customers' needs, as well as the specific racks and lanes they will serve. They must pass certification testing before they haul that first fuel load on their own and receive additional ongoing safety and service training throughout the year."
