The Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration has reinstated KSK Group’s ELD to the list of registered electronic logging devices.

As of Sept. 18, according to FMCSA, motor carriers and drivers were free to return to using KSK ELD for recording and transferring hours of data service.

The KSK ELD had been removed from the list of registered devices Sept. 14.

Unlike Canada's ELD mandate, U.S. regulators have a "self-certification" process for ELD manufacturers to attest that their devices adhere to the ELD rules.
