HDT has brought longtime trucking industry journalist Jack Roberts on board as its new executive editor.

A licensed commercial driver, Roberts has been covering the North American and global trucking industries since 1995. During that time, he has carved out a reputation as thought-leader on new technologies such as the rise of autonomous truck technology as well as alterative fuels and zero-emissions powertrain technologies.

Formerly a senior editor at HDT, Roberts has been a contributing editor for the magazine since 2020. In his new role as executive editor, Roberts will write in-depth features, test drives, blogs, videos, and analysis and commentary on current fleet management and trucking trends.

He also will contribute to other fleet business B2B brands in the Bobit Fleet Group.

Roberts joins an award-winning editorial team that features the trucking industry’s most experienced staff and contributing editors.

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Roberts lives and works remotely in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
