DriverTech and Drivewyze recently partnered to include PreClear weigh station bypass as part of DriverTech’s in-cab platform.
The addition, which DriverTech CEO Mark Haslam called “a natural extension to the company’s DT4000 ELD and navigation system,” was piloted with several fleets and resulted in both time savings and improved driver satisfaction.
“Weigh station bypass is becoming must-have technology for fleets,” said Haslam.
The combination of the two platforms increases efficiency for both fleets and owner operators, with a return on investment that also improves safety, according to Drivewyze.
“With weigh station bypass, the ROI is tremendous. Freight continues to move as drivers avoid delays at inspection sites,” said Brian Heath, president and CEO of Drivewyze.
In addition to weigh station bypass opportunities at more than 800 locations in 47 states and provinces, Drivewyze is providing rest area alerts. Drivers receive either an “open” or “closed” notification in states that have adjusted rest area parking due to the COVID-19.
