Integrated Decision Support Corp., Richardson, Texas, announced that Zimmerman Truck Lines Inc., of Mifflintown, Pa., has licensed Integrated’s Expert Fuel and Out-of-Route/Estimated Time of Arrival Alert transportation software.
Zimmerman operates 225 power units and 350 flatbed trailers.
Expert Fuel is a real-time fuel optimization program providing drivers with guidance on the route to run and the fuel stops to make in order to maximize fuel savings and minimize out-of-route miles. According to Integrated, users can expect a savings of 4 to 11 cents per gallon per truck, and more when fuel prices are high.
Expert Fuel considers all relevant fuel issues including tax and network implications, route, terminal fueling & tank fill policies and driver amenities—all within seconds and at the time of dispatch. Out of Route/Estimated Time of Arrival Alert interfaces with Expert Fuel and the mobile communications system to determine if a driver is out-of-route and and on time. The software tracks high-value cargo and hazmat security while providing proactive swap opportunities for improving equipment and driver utilization.
