YRC has upgraded its Preferred Pricing Program to now guarantee preferred pricing shipments at no additional cost
. Although it is available to any customer, Preferred Pricing is designed to help small- to mid-sized companies looking for a competitive and easy-to-understand pricing program.
"In response to customer need, our Preferred Pricing program offers a simplified pricing option that removes much of the complexity inherent in normal LTL pricing tariffs," said John Garcia, executive vice president and chief sales officer of YRC Worldwide. "This program helps improve our customers' transportation cost planning because it is simple and predictable."
Along with a money back guarantee, customers can expect no special surcharges or exclusions for non-direct points. YRC's program includes an exclusive fuel surcharge program that insulates shippers from rising fuel prices until the National Diesel Price Index reaches $4 per gallon. The program also features common accessorial services at no additional cost and market competitive rates in all YRC lanes.
Preferred Pricing was initially introduced to YRC customers in 2008, and decided to offer the program widely so that more companies could take advantage of the program.
