Several organizational changes were made within Yokohama Tire Corporation announced Takaharu Fushimi, CEO of Yokohama Corporation of North America. The changes took effect on Feb. 1, 2015.
Rick Phillips has been promoted to vice president of sales consumer, commercial and OTR after previously serving as the senior director of commercial and OTR sales. Phillips will report to Yakayuki Hamaya, YTC chief operating officer.
“Rick has significantly grown our commercial and OTR business and will be a vital asset on the consumer side,” said Fushimi. “
Larry Kull was made senior director of consumer sales, coming from tire business planning and sales operations. Former senior director of consumer sales, Fred Koplin is now a senior director of marketing. Andrew Briggs is now the senior director of tire business planning, product planning and sales operations after formerly serving as senior director of marketing, product planning and technical services.
“As Yokohama, continues to build on its success we felt it was the right time to align our organization to take advantage of our core strengths and provide opportunities for people to contribute further to our growth,” said Fushimi.
The companies also said they plan to coordinate deployment planning across priority freight corridors and define routes and operational design domains for U.S. commercial service while laying the groundwork for expansion into key European markets.
