With the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s annual Brake Safety Week coming soon, Wabco is offering and Air Disc Brake Maintenance Care Tips Checklist for fleets, drivers and maintenance technicians.
The Maintenance Care Tips Checklist is intended to serve as an industry guide to properly maintain air disc brakes for improved vehicle safety. The list (above) offers recommendations for each inspection cycle as well as designations for what inspections you can accomplish with the wheel on or off.
Brake Safety Week is set to take place from Sept. 11-17, 2016 during which law enforcement agencies across North America will conduct inspections on large trucks and buses and perform outreach and enforcement campaigns to improve commercial vehicle brake safety.
“Brakes are one of the most critical vehicle safety systems, and as a leading supplier of air disc brakes, Wabco proudly shares and supports CVSA and its Brake Safety Week initiative to improve brake safety by emphasizing the importance of properly installed and maintained brakes on commercial vehicles,” said Jon Morrison, Wabco president, Americas.
