At Work Truck Week 2022, Heavy Duty Trucking’s sister publication Work Truck joined a Ford engineer to get an overview of the 2022 Ford F-650 medium-duty truck.
In this walkaround video, Michael Pruitt, Ford Pro's chief program engineer for commercial vehicles, points out features that make the Ford F-650 stand out and gives updates for the 2023 model year. For instance, for 2023, Ford Pro has made the live-drive power take-off provision standard with the diesel engine. It remains optional on the gasoline powertrain.
“Our fleet customers were asking us to provide some settings that reduce the ability of the driver to turn off and/or desensitize some features, so we’ve offered that as an option for our fleet customers,” Pruitt says in the Work Truck video.
Watch this detailed walkaround below, and visit Work Truck’s website for the latest in the medium-duty market.
The Ford F-650 and F-750 were named Work Truck’s Medium-Duty Truck of the Year for 2022, an award chosen by Work Truck’s readers based on application effectiveness, durability, quality, servicing, maintenance, and lifecycle costs.
