USF Bestway Inc., a regional carrier unit of USFreightways Corp., has relocated to a larger facility in Austin, Texas.
The new service center, located in the heart of Austin at 8201 Bagby Drive, is hosting an open house from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
"With the rapid expansion of USF Bestway's regional LTL services throughout the Pacific Southwest and steady growth in Texas, we had outgrown the capacity of our existing Austin location," said USF Bestway President Gary Beggs.
The 12,000-square-foot, 24-door terminal increases USF Bestway's capacity by more than 200%, and will be used to serve customers located within a 60-mile radius of the greater Austin area. Terminal manager Ed Hark leads USF Bestway's Austin service center team.
USF Bestway Inc. is a premier LTL carrier, providing next-day and regional service to the Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas markets.
