Chris Burruss resigned from his position as president of the Truckload Carriers Association on Thursday.
In a brief statement from the organization, it said the decision was due to "personal reasons."

In a brief statement from the organization, it said the decision was due to "personal reasons."
"Under the guidance of Chairman Shepard Dunn, TCA’s officers are in the process of assembling a search taskforce to find a replacement," the statement said. "The staff, under the leadership of Executive Vice President Bill Giroux and Vice President Debbie Sparks are committed to moving TCA’s mission forward."
Burruss was president of TCA since 2004. Prior to this he was president of the Tennessee Trucking Association.
