Today, Texas Star is a trucking company with 250 employees, including drivers and administrative staff, and 160 owner-operators.
The company celebrated the event with a Texas barbecue, attended by about 135 employees, drivers, customers and friends. The weather was picture-perfect, and the new Safety Lane turned out to be a perfect spot to celebrate.
Guests included Clay Jones from Lowe’s Companies; Joshua Carlson, Weyerhaeuser Paper; Ruben Clowers, Paulette Clark and Shea Nutt from The Home Depot; Ronnell Hambric, Georgia-Pacific; Marshall Chambers and Gary Dotson, Kenworth; and Larry Parks, American National Bank.
