The Greater Houston Retailers Cooperative Association has outsourced its fleet operations by signing a full service leasing agreement with Ryder System for 25 medium-duty box trucks, Ryder has announced.
The association will deploy the trucks, which sit on a Freightliner M2 chassis, to deliver goods to its independent convenience store members and supplier partners in the Houston area.
Under a full service lease, Ryder acquires vehicles according to the customer’s specifications and provides financing, maintenance, and fleet support services. Ryder also manages vehicle disposal to protect customers from residual risk.
This is the first time the association has outsourced its fleet.

Fleet Advantage's Brian Antonellis says it's time for fleets to get back to the fundamentals of good maintenance practices. And that includes replacing older, inefficient equipment.
