Maptuit Corp., Burlington, Mass., announced that Swift Transportation Co., Inc. has selected FleetNav Directions to provide in-cab directions to drivers.
Maptuit’s FleetNav Directions provides real-time directions and route optimization solutions. Swift Transportation based in Phoenix, Ariz., is one of the largest truckload carriers in the U.S., operating 17,000 trucks.
Maptuit’s FleetNav Directions enables drivers to request directions with fuel stops along the route, to their load origin, destination, stop or service location directly from their cab. FleetNav provides the information over Swift’s mobile communications system, Qualcomm’s OmniTRACS.
Maptuit provides web-based reporting enabling management to create and maintain precise address information for all customers and delivery locations. These tools enable back-office staff to manage customer locations and monitor fleet performance from any computer with Internet access.
FleetNav is a hosted, subscription-based solution that integrates with all leading fleet management and mobile communications systems. It does not need to be installed in individual trucks.
