The latest numbers from DAT Solutions show that the average spot van rate was unchanged at $1.90 following the 5% increase the previous week. The load to truck ratio decreased to 2.4 available van loads for every truck. This was caused by a 9.3% decline in van load posts and a 15% increase in truck posts.
Reefer freight rates were also unchanged after the previous weeks jump, staying flat at $2.23 while the reefer load-to-truck ratio fell to 5.5.
Flatbed rates increased slightly to $2.20 while loads fell 1.5% and truck capacity increased 11%, which dropped the flatbed load-to-truck ratio to 26.7.
